Morse code is a method of encoding text using sequences of dots (short signals) and dashes (long signals). Developed by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail in the 1830s, it was the first widely used form of long-distance communication.
Each letter, number, and punctuation mark has a unique pattern. For example S = ยทยทยท and O = โโโ, making SOS (ยทยทยทโโโยทยทยท) a universally recognized distress signal.
Morse code is still used in aviation, amateur (ham) radio, and accessibility applications. Learning it improves pattern recognition, memory, and gives you a practical emergency communication skill.
